Day trip to Le Conquet
On the tip of Finistère, Le Conquet is a "Petite Cité de Caractère" with many assets: charming harbours, lively little streets, landscapes of unrivalled natural beauty... Let's get started!
What a pleasure to stroll through the historic centre of Le Conquet! With its old Norman and English shipowners' houses, shops, restaurants and art galleries, it has a unique atmosphere.
Explanatory signs line the town centre to tell you more about its history. For a 100% Breton experience, try a galette in a traditional crêperie!
In Le Conquet, you'll discover two harbours with very different personalities.
One is France's second-largest fishing port for edible crab. Every day, dozens of boats return loaded with ultra-fresh fish and shellfish. This port is also the departure point for shuttles to the magnificent islands of Ouessant (1h15 crossing) and Molène (45min crossing).
You'll find a different atmosphere at the Vieux Port du Conque, surrounded by narrow, steep streets. From the coastal paths, you can enjoy panoramic views over the ocean.
From Le Conquet, explore the Kermorvan peninsula. Access is via the Croaë pedestrian bridge.
Let yourself be charmed by the wide Blancs Sablons beach and the view over Molène Island, Ouessant Island and the port of Le Conquet. With its square-tower lighthouse and fort, the Kermorvan peninsula offers some truly picture-postcard scenery.
