A Breton Village Steeped in History

The hamlet of Meneham originated around a guardhouse built to watch over the coast.

Gradually, it became a village of customs officers, then of families living off fishing, seaweed harvesting, and farming.

Today, carefully restored, it offers visitors typical thatched cottages, museum spaces, and four artisan workshops, providing an authentic immersion into Breton life of yesteryear.

One of Meneham's greatest attractions is its exceptional landscape: monumental rocks sculpted by the elements, white sandy beaches, and small, unspoiled coves.

The famous House Between the Rocks remains one of the most photographed symbols of the region.
