Brest Castle and the National Museum of the Navy

In the heart of the city, facing the sea, stands the impressive Brest Castle, one of the few remaining traces of the city's past before it was bombed during the Second World War.

During your visit, you can visit the keep and the ramparts.

Since 1958, the castle has also been home to the National Museum of the Navy, where you will discover a collection that traces centuries of naval history.

Motte-Tanguy Tower
10 minutes on foot and 5 minutes by bike from the hotel

Built on the right bank of the Penfeld river
An opportunity to discover the town before it was bombed during the Second World War thanks to magnificent slide shows.

You will find :
  • on the first floor, reproductions of Brest's key events over the centuries
  • on the second floor, reproductions of the city's old picturesque streets
Temporary exhibitions are also regularly organised on the third floor of the tower.

Les Ateliers des Capucins
20 minutes on foot and 10 minutes by bike from the hotel

Overlooking the Penfeld estuary are the former buildings of the Brest Arsenal: a place that today hosts Les Ateliers des Capucins.

This place, which is now a must-see, is a mixture of cultural and commercial centre: media library, catering services, theatre and climbing hall, cinema, businesses, shops and galleries all live together in Les Ateliers des Capucins.

An atypical place that has managed to preserve its industrial heritage and win over the hearts of Brest residents and visitors alike.

Our favourite ❤️: access the Ateliers des Capucins by the city's cable car! This is an opportunity to admire the city and the harbour of Brest from the air. The cable car leaves from the hotel in less than 10 minutes on foot.

The Botanical Conservatory Garden
15 minutes by car and 20 minutes by bike from the hotel

Located to the west of the city and set in a former quarry, the Botanical Conservatory Garden invites you to discover endangered plants.

Rare and endangered plants from around the world are presented to the public in over 30 hectares of tropical greenhouses.

Stroll through the alleys of greenhouses and admire
